2015 Pattern Recap: Lark Tee
It doesn't feel like it was that long ago that we released the Lark Tee. However, it was a pattern we had been thinking about for a long time. Last winter, we couldn't stop talking about how neither of us could find the perfect layering tee. We would be working in the studio, tugging on our hems and readjusting our sleeves, then bursting out "we have got to make a tee that works on it's own, under sweaters, and jackets!" So when we had the time, after the release of the Cascade and Morris, we started on the Lark. Check out the original release post here.
It's leveled as beginner, we really wanted to make another pattern that sewed up quickly and was good for beginning sewists. However, we still wanted it to be interesting to make, so we included 4 different sleeve lengths and 4 differing necklines. With all the possibilities of this pattern, we decided to have a Sew Along, which you can read here.
You can also check out three different tutorials we did on Lark variations in the Lark sew along. One of our favorite things about the Lark is that it's so versatile. A couple small changes to the pattern makes for a totally new garment, like the first variation we posted, making a cardigan. Read the variation here, if your curious. The other two are also quick and super cool updates.
We had a couple awesome Sew & Tells featuring Niina and Katie. Both are definitely worth a read, if you missed them. That being said, we can only do so many Sew & Tells and we have seen a lot of great looking Larks in blog posts and on social media since it's release. Here are just a handful pulled from Instagram.
