Tamarack Jacket 14-30 Pattern Tester Round Up
This re-release of the Tamarack Jacket has been a long time coming and we're so excited it’s finally here! As with any pattern release, we dedicate a lot of time and effort from start to finish to ensure our patterns are of the highest quality. If interested, you can read more about our thorough multi-step development process here.
Creating a pattern takes a village and we couldn't have done it without the crew of pattern testers who helped test the 14-30 tamarack. Over the course of the three week testing period, they sewed up their own Tamarack Jacket checking for ease of sewing, any instruction and pattern inconsistencies, and evaluating fit. Each and every size in the range is tested. We set up a Slack channel so we can chat and share throughout the process, working through issues together, offering helpful suggestions to one another, sharing photo updates, providing moral support. The best part is the gushing and excitement over everyones finished garment! After this period is over, we go through the detailed responses given to us by this team, and apply needed changes to the pattern and instructions.
Pattern testing with our community is one of our favorite parts of the pattern development process. We have so much fun and their helpful feedback is absolutely vital to ensuring our patterns are easy to follow, fit well, and are fun to make and wear. We love to see the pattern come to life in the hands of our skilled testers, and with that in mind, we wanted to share some of their inspiring finished Tamarack Jackets.
Melizza used a beautiful pre-quilted cotton fabric from merchant and mills to create this soft as a cloud- super dreamy Tamarack.
We always love a fun surprise print inside, and check out this amazing quilting pattern Laura designed!
Cara was super resourceful by giving a pre-quilted bedspread new life for her bright and fun jacket!
We were blown away by Helena's impeccable Jacket. Made in beautiful linen and cotton this color elevates "neutral" to a whole new level!
Bree's choice to line her Tamarack with sherpa was inspired! How cozy for upcoming fall weather.
In our slack channel, Claire described her finished look as "a strong art teacher vibe" and we are HERE FOR IT! It's fitting too as she really transformed her printed quilting cotton into a work of art.
Shelley's classy Tamarack feels very channel! We love all the thought that went into each detail she chose.
Thank you again to all our amazing pattern testers! Be sure to check out their linked instagram accounts to see more amazing makes.
Please note that while we do test every size, it's not a requirement of our testers that they share their finished garments publicly. This is why you're only seeing 7 of the 9 testers today. Because we value their feedback and it is integral to our process, all of our pattern testers are compensated for their work.
