Sew & Tell | Michelle of Style Maker Fabrics
Michelle from Style Maker Fabrics just finished this Morris Blazer with a fabric she carries in her online shop. Her construction is beautiful and she changed up the pattern a bit to get the fit she wanted. Read on to see what she did!

Which pattern did you use? Morris Blazer
What type of fabric or other materials did you use? Wool blend "felted" knit in an amazing ombre houndstooth pattern that fades from charcoal to mustard. So unique and a dream to work with!
Tell us about your project! I made my first "test" Morris Blazer, out of a stable knit I had in my stash, as directed in the pattern. It fit perfectly, but a bit short for a cozy fall blazer. For this wool version, I lengthened the body pieces by 3 inches and the sleeves by 6 inches. The fabric was amazing to work with and created such a stunning Morris Blazer. This project challenged me to keep working on matching patterns and thinking about how I want them to appear on the finished garment. That allowed me to create the garment almost exactly as I had envisioned it. Check out my blog posts for more details about lengthening the pattern and notes about the process.
