Introducing the Field Bag

Today we're launching our newest pattern in collaboration with Fringe Supply Co, the Field Bag! This popular and versatile project bag has been a hit with knitters for years, and it's now available as a pattern so you can sew your own at home. And we don't just have the pattern, we also have kits with all the fabric and notions you'll need to create your own!

The Field Bag is ideal for organizing knitting, sewing, embroidery, or other works-in-progress. It features a roomy main compartment with interior pockets designed for corralling tools, patterns, and miscellany. Optional grommets assist with managing multiple strands of yarn, while and a handy wrist strap makes it easy to carry with you everywhere!

In addition to the pattern we're offering two types of kits to help you easily create your own Field Bag. The first kit features the pre-cut fabric parts left behind when the factory Fringe used closed, packaged with the strap (choose leather or cotton), grommets, and cord needed for one bag. These kits are limited in quantity, and there are 4 colors to choose from: natural, toffee, yellow, and orange.

The small hardware needed to create your own bag can be difficult to source in small amounts so the second kit contains just the strap, grommets, and cord needed for one bag. Choose your own fabric and you're ready to sew!

In addition to the Field Bag patterns and kits we've got a lot of great content planned to help you create your own! We'll be hosting a video sew-along beginning in early July as well as some fun tutorials on customizing your bag! We'll be announcing those here and on the blog so stay tuned for more information!
