I'm Teaching at Laura & Allyson Retreats!

I'm so excited that registration is now live for my next in-person teaching event with Laura & Allyson Retreats! We will once again be sewing in a beautiful house in Berrien Springs, Michigan from Friday October 31st – Sunday November 3rd, with everything thing a retreat-goer could ask for. Plenty of space to spread out and cut and sew, bottomless conversation and snacks, and an instructor (me) on hand to answer any and all of your sewing questions.
Unlike a typical class, you can work on whatever your heart desires at this retreat – and we're not just restricting it to Grainline patterns this time! I'll be there to guide you through your projects, offer personalized help and advice, and answer any questions you can dream up. I really love this format because you can not only learn from your own project, but from everyone else's as well. It's honestly amazing to be in a room of likeminded people, all working on different projects, and learning from each other and from each other's projects.
Now for how the retreat is structured, we're all staying in the same, very luxe, house which means we get to hang out all day long! We'll all start the day out with breakfast, move into our sewing & teaching time, then after that we'll have dinner together and be able to hang out by the fire, chatting, and you know I'll be knitting. At the last retreat Laura & Allyson converted a few non-knitters so keep that in mind if you've been wanting to learn, you literally could not find better teachers than them!
Retreat Price Includes:
- Jen Beeman of Grainline Studio, garment sewing expert, on hand to answer all your sewing questions all weekend long
- Laura & Allyson, experienced garment sewists and knitting teachers, on hand to answer all your questions
- Three nights luxury accommodation, including spacious indoor and outdoor spaces, hot tubs, theater room, and fire pit!
- Two full days of garment sewing instruction
- Transportation to the retreat space from downtown Chicago
- Catered dinners from local chefs Friday and Sunday night
- Wood-fired pizza party Saturday night
