June is Austin Month

Two views of the Austin Dress: View A in rust linen with A-line skirt, View B in gold stripe with gathered skirt

While I work on our next pattern releases, I thought it would be fun to spend some time highlighting patterns from the existing catalog and the Austin Dress felt like the perfect place to start! It's one of my favorites for spring and summer, and honestly one I don't think gets enough attention due to its many, many buttonholes.

In addition to that so many of you have asked about variation tutorials over the past year so I've decided that a full month dedicated to the Austin felt like a natural fit. Here's what's coming in June:

Variation tutorials: four of them, covering removing the button bands, faux button bands so you can skip those buttonholes but still get the look of the original dress, bodice front ties, and a front-on-fold version with a back opening. These are the modifications people ask about most, and I'm excited to finally have them documented properly!

A sew-along refresher: a reminder that the full video sew-along exists and is ready to guide you through the whole construction process. It's like I'm right there holding your hand!

Customer makes: a look at what the Grainline community has been making with the Austin dress pattern.

To kick things off, the Austin Dress is 20% off in both PDF and paper formats through June 15th at 11:59 PM CST. No discount code needed, the discount is applied automatically at checkout.
