Augusta Top in teal linen and Augusta Dress in black and white dot print, both shown on a size 32 model

I've been gradually working through the Grainline catalog, bringing everything up to size 32, and today the Augusta Top & Dress joins that list.

If you haven't made an Augusta before, it's worth a closer look. The cocoon silhouette gives you comfortable ease without sacrificing shape, and the asymmetrical collar is one of those details that looks complicated but comes together beautifully once you're in it.

The mitered split hem is another highlight, and a great technique to have in your repertoire! Choose between a hip-length top or a just-above-the-knee dress, with short cuffed or long straight sleeves.

Augusta is an intermediate pattern and works well in wovens with a bit of drape — think lawn, chambray, linen, or a lightweight denim if you want more structure.

It's now available in sizes 14–32 as a PDF (the paper is out of print) and we have a full sew-along over on YouTube if you need a little extra help with that collar!
