Sew & Tell | Kiyomi Go Hollo
We love this Linden that Kiyomi made a little while back. I wanted to post it now but it's such a great Linden for autumn into winter. We have gotten a lot of interest since the Linden came out about making it in a woven, Kiyomi's is such a great example of how to make the Linden work for a woven. Plus, these photos are too good not to feature, thanks to Kayleigh McCollum.

Tell us about your project! I love the Linden Sweatshirt! I have probably sewn half a dozen of them and I doubt I'll stop anytime soon, I'm wearing one right now even. The woven Linden craze hit the Instagram world when I was still living in Denver and working at Fancy Tiger Crafts. Everyone was whipping up Lindens in lovely lawns and double gauze. That isn't really my style and though I knew I would love my favorite shirt sewn up in a woven I just couldn't settle on a fabric that would be right for me. It wasn't until I moved to Seattle and experienced the constant damp of the PNW that I truly began to appreciate flannel. When Mammoth Flannel arrived in Drygoods Design, the Seattle fabric shop I now call home, I knew I needed a Linden.
I usually tweak the Linden pattern a bit, lengthen it, raise the neckline, bring it in a bit on the sides, but this time I sewed it as written since the woven wouldn't have the shape fitting stretch of a knit. The end result is so Seattle its not even funny. It is super cozy and perfect for layering, bringing some color into my usually drab pallet. The plaid also helps me fit snugly into my new damp and misty home.
