Nashville Recap & the Elizabeth Suzann Studio

Nashville Recap & the Elizabeth Suzann Studio | Grainline Studio

A few weeks back I was in Nashville to teach a one day Stowe Bag class at Craft South with Karen from Fringe Supply Co. Our friends Jaime & Kate decided to take the weekend off and come visit as well...such a fun 4 days! After class we had a little sewing party at Craft South where I got the opportunity sew with friends I wouldn't normally be able to and to meet a few wonderful ladies I'd previously only known via the internet! I wish things like this could happen every weekend.

One of the stops the four of us made in Nashville was to the Elizabeth Suzann studio, which I knew was going to be amazing since I've been following her on Instagram for a long time. If you don't know about Elizabeth Suzann, she makes beautiful clothes  in luxurious fabrics, but does so in a way where you can wear them every day. Lots of voluminous shapes and clean lines...basically my dream. Haha! I love seeing how other people work so I took quite a few photos at the workspace. It occurred to me that you guys might like to see them as well...I can't be the only person obsessed with peeking in on other people's sewing setups right?

Seriously everything is so organized in here, just the way I like it!

The cutting area is super dreamy...two long industrial cutting tables complete with a spreader and so many beautiful oaktag patterns. If I remember correctly they were laying out markers when we were there.

Each sewer has their own pod complete with everything they need to take a garment from start to finish. I'd love to make off with a pod for myself! Mmmm the chomp of an industrial serger...

There's a showroom off to the side of the large workspace showcasing their collections open by appointment only. We definitely tried on about everything in there...and bought a bit of it too!
