It’s time for my biennial post about Election Day here in the United States! As you well know if you’ve been reading for a while, I love voting and have never missed an election. I’m 2 for 4 Presidentially and am hoping to make it 3 for 5 tonight! I voted early in Cook County this year but we don’t get stickers, and I had partisan nails, so enjoy this photo from the Midterm Elections 2 years ago.
If you aren’t sure where your polling place is, Google has a good lookup here that also includes ID Requirements for your state, whether or not your state offers election day registration, and poll hours. It’s always a good idea to vote all the way down the ballot and not just for the presidential race as the state and local elections are usually where you’ll see change that affects you on a day to day basis. If you need more information on who’s running down ballot, check out Ballot Ready for a full explanation and comparison of experience of the candidates and referendums, and add them to your ballot which you can pull up on your phone at your polling place. Pretty handy!
I’ll be spending the evening getting ready for our new pattern launch tomorrow, eating pizza, and watching the returns roll in. Now get out there and vote & we’ll see you back here tomorrow with a new president and a new pattern!
