Meet The Grainline Studio Team

Here at Grainline Studio our mission is to create professionally drafted, easy to use sewing patterns while providing educational resources. We want our customer's to feel enabled to elevate their wardrobes while expanding their skill sets. We've grown quite a bit since our founder, Jen Beeman, began running Grainline Studio out of her apartment in 2011. The in-house team works together to accomplish daily and long-term goals, and you can read what each of us do below.

Jennifer Beeman: Owner, Founder, Designer, and Pattern Maker

Jennifer studied fashion design at Columbia college and founded Grainline in 2011. She designs and develops our patterns.

Jon: Accounts Manager and Graphic Designer

Jon manages distributor and stockist relationships. He's also responsible for creating graphics for our website, packaging, pattern layouts, and social media accounts.

Lexi: Production Manager

No one title captures Lexi's role at Grainline. Like Jen, she majored in Fashion Design at Columbia College. She sews our pattern photoshoot samples, tests sews and troubleshoots patterns, and assists in overall product development.

Aimee: Communications and Content Manager

Aimee manages our social media accounts, sends the weekly newsletter, prepares tutorials, and writes some of our blog content. She's a passionate maker who cares about making education accessible and engaging.

Oatmeal aka 'Oaty': Nap Taker and Mood Booster

Oaty is our most beloved office mate. She greets us daily with tail wags, and always knows when it's time for one of us to take a break by asking for 'pets'. While she's enthusiastic about our patterns, she prefers peanut butter to most things.

We all love the work we do everyday. It all contributes to getting patterns and resources out into the crafting community. It's nice to meet you! - Jen, Jon, Lexi, & Aimee
