Geometric 3/4 Sleeve Scout Variation

Grainline Studio | Geometric 3/4 Sleeve Scout Dress

I’ve been getting loads of emails for a long time all asking this question… “How do I make the Scout with longer sleeves?” Well I finally got it together and made one myself. Today I just have finished photos of my version and next post I’ll have the full pattern alteration tutorial which admittedly is pretty easy. I also lengthened my Scout into a tunic length since I felt like this was a LOT of pattern for a full on dress but I wanted more than the regular top and I’m really glad I did.

I got this fabric from Gorgeous Fabrics and was super happy with how the border print worked out on the hems. Unfortunately I have no fabric link for you because the fabric has since sold out but it’s a rayon challis and is pretty dreamy.

This alteration makes the Scout a bit more winter friendly. If you’re looking for more Scout alterations check out this cute gathered back dress version over at Reana Louise! Excuse my super grainy photos, it’s been so grey here in Chicago lately I don’t have much natural light happening.
