Sew & Tell is finally back from its hiatus with the fabulous Sallie who really needs no introduction, she's that awesome. Everything this girl makes I love. She's got a great modern sensibility, which we all know is my jam, and has a way with matching fabric with patterns that make them seem like something completely new. When I saw this metallic linen Moss Skirt I was so pumped, it totally made my day! For more photos be sure to click over to her blog.

What type of fabric / materials did you use? "I used a gold metallic coated brown linen from Tessuti Fabrics that I bought a little over a year ago, some japanese floral cotton I've had around forever for pockets and facings, regular old black zip and a metal jeans button."

Tell us more about your project! "This was such a fun skirt to make! It went together really, really beautifully, and I'm still in awe of how the pockets are engineered to fit your hands comfortably but not stick out in that awkward way that hip pockets can. I used Grainline's fly front zipper tutorial which was super helpful when I needed a little bit of extra hand-holding. I wear this skirt a TON! It's the perfect little sparkly thing to dress up my otherwise casual summer look. I think I need a little army of Moss mini's to whip my closet into shape!"
