2012 Recap | Patterns

This year, in addition to upgrading the sizing on the Tiny Pocket Tank and Scout Woven Tee I released these two patterns, the Maritime Shorts and the Moss Skirt. Both bottoms, both starting with M. I’ve made a lot of each pattern, well I think 3 Maritime Shorts and 4 Moss Skirts and wear them a TON. I had a really great time making these and seeing everyone’s variations, that always gets me excited. On that note, this year I started a new series called Sew and Tell featuring garments you guys have made from the patterns so if you’ve made anything recently, add it to the Flickr group or send me an email and let me know!

In addition to my patterns I had the opportunity to collaborate on a downloadable pattern for designlovefest, the 8 Days a Week Clutch. That was a blast and I wish I owned the one they made for the post! I also designed this little free narwhal ornament for the 2012 Ornament Exchange organized by Kelli. I’m so glad I took part in this, I never would have made this little guy otherwise and found how much fun it is to design a small softy!

As someone who has made the scout tee and the tiny pocket tank in multiple versions in size 18, I just wanted to say THANK YOU for the extra effort you put into grading for a wide range of sizes! As a beginner sewer, I really appreciate not having to try to figure out do grade up the patterns that I love. I haven’t blogged my version yet, but I’m working on it. Thanks!

I love that clutch–you can totally find electric blue suede (ebay, yeah!). I’m definitely going to try your patterns this year–pretty much my summer wardrobe ;).

I love your patterns, I’ve just finished a Moss skirt and am making a Tiny Pocket Tank at the moment. A pair of Maritime Shorts are up next. Do I have an obsession with grainline patterns? Maybe…. 🙂
