I'm Teaching at Camp Workroom Social!

Grainline Studio | Camp Workroom Social

Have you guys heard about Camp Workroom Social yet? It's a 4 day sewing camp in the Catskills devised by Jennifer of Workroom Social and I'm so unbelievably excited about it! I love sewing and I love nature so obviously I was on board from the beginning with this idea, but the philosophy of the camp is what really sealed the deal for me. Rather than focusing on absolute perfection, we'll be working towards you learning the skills and the tools to perfect these skills as you keep working after you leave camp. I think that's something I really strive for here on the blog as well, giving you the tools so that, with practice, you can make something absolutely wonderful.

I'll be teaching a patternmaking intensive course where you'll learn to draft a bodice and skirt from your measurements as well as the basics of manipulating that pattern to create different styles. If patternmaking isn't your jam, there are 4 other amazing courses (bra making, jean making, fit for your body, and dressmaking) to choose from. I really really wish I could take Norma's bra making class but it looks like I'll be busy, ha!

If this is something that interests you, head over to the Camp Workroom Social site to check it out! Jennifer has some early bird pricing going on until Wednesday so I wanted to post about camp early enough to give you that option. I'm so excited about camp I can hardly stand it...also there is a planned karaoke night. That is my JAM! Hope to see you there!
