Salt Spring Island

I’m having a bit of a hard time adjusting back into regular life after my trip. Two weeks is a long time to be gone, more than enough time to start to settle into a different routine, and now between catching up on work at my various jobs and everything else I’m having a hard time getting back to normal. I did have some time late last night to start editing some of my photos from the trip which I’ve been wanting to share here. These photos are from our day trip to Salt Spring Island. We checked out the market, which was a bit small on this holiday, end of season weekend, ate lunch, wandered around the harbor, saw jellyfish and sea stars and then headed on back home. One thing I was not expecting about Salt Spring was that it is a gluten free haven, there was gluten free everything at this place! Victoria is a lot better than Chicago as well, but this was the most gluten friendly island I’ve ever been to. I loved the ferry ride as well, I’m a real sucker for a good boat, especially a working boat. More photos here

It looks like such an amazing trip! The quality of the light and the fall colors are so so beautiful! I always hate that “post vacation” feeling of being back to real life.
