expired wisconsin

I took a lot of film photos up at the cottage the last time I was up there but didn’t realize that I had accidentally loaded expired Fuji 1600 into my camera.  Normally expired film doesn’t bother me and occasionally looks pretty cool, but this pack was brought home from the UIUC photo department by Luke and expired in mid 2003, a bit too old for my tastes.  These are the few photos I like the looks of, especially the giant loon up top.  I’m pretty big into loons and have been trying (unsuccessfully thus far) to make a loon call with my hands.  My friend Jon who is an avid twitcher (or birdwatcher for those unfamiliar with the slang of British birdwatching) somehow managed to make the bird call before I did.  At least it’s a real bird lover that beat me to it.

Also, don’t forget to sign up for the friendship bracelet swap, today is the last day!  So far we have about 74 (at the time I am writing this post on Thursday evening) participants from all over the world, so it should be a pretty good time.  You have officially until I wake up on Saturday to sign up, so don’t delay, I might decide to wake up early!
