Seafaring Sweater pattern : my own | fabric : cotton blend knit

Here is a little cut and sew knit top that I made two weeks ago right before I left for the cottage.  I had purchased this fabric last summer and never really could figure out quite what to use it for and sort of forgot about it.  Recently I remembered I had this fabric and decided that it needed to be an oversized kimono sleeved sweater which I needed to wear over my bathing suit on the boat.  Very specific, I know, so that is exactly what it became.  It's actually my first v-neck cut + sew sweater and I was surprised how easily the v came together.  The only bummer about this top is that I didn't quite buy enough fabric for what it ultimately became.  I had to place a seam at the back where the armhole would be if this were not a kimono sleeve in order to cut the back and the binding for the neckline had to be cut on the bias(ish).  I wanted to cut it on the straight so that the stripes would line up with the neckline in a more even fashion.  Oh well, I am still happy with the outcome and Sister seems to like it!
