a happy new year

a happy new year | grainline studio

I hope everyone got to ring in the new year in style with friends or loved ones.  I'm still unsure of how I passed from 2010 into 2011 as I am pre-authoring this post here, so we'll all find out later.  As for the new year, I'm making a few resolutions, mostly pertaining to my personal life or business but I have one or two for here as well, and here they are in no particular order...

∆  I would really like to do some tutorials or downloadable pdf patterns of some of the things I sew for myself.  Most of the things I sew for myself are made from patterns I draft myself and I've gotten some requests to make these available over the past year.  I'm hoping this year to make that a reality, so if you have any requests let me know!

∆  Another for 2011 is that I am going to try to connect with other people / bloggers more.  I am pretty shy and that doesn't stop in the real world but extends here as well.  I read a ton of blogs but rarely comment, so this year I am going to try to change that.  Conversely, if you're over here, don't hesitate to say hi or leave me a link to your blog.

∆  Finally, dude, Jen, start using more film!  My digital camera is basically junk after serving me since early to mid 2004 so unsurprisingly my Cannon AE-1 actually takes better photos.  This camera was my mom's, she and my dad bought it for her a month or so before I was born to take photos of me.  Along with this I would like to start using some of my Grandpa's old cameras.  He was a camera man for CBS so, even though we sold most of them when he died, we have a ton of his old cameras and lenses.

So that's that, a fresh year starting, happy 2011 everyone!
